Woman Found Dead In Macon Motel Room
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating after a woman is found dead in a motel room this afternoon.
We don’t know much about Toma Kenny, known to her family as Tomalee, or how she died.
Kenny decided to rent a room from the United Suites in Macon for a week and died before she checked out.
Bibb County coroner Leon Jones said Kenny’s body was badly decomposed when police found her. She had been dead for at least 4 days.
Saad Iqbal, an employee of the motel, said another resident alerted him that there was a problem. Iqbal told his maintenence man to check out the room, and that’s when he discovered her body. “
Animal control was on scene to assist with the dog Kenny left behind, and Jones said the autopsy will be performed tomorrow to find out the exact cause of death.
No evidence of foul play has been reported.
