Woman dies in Macon car accident

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman died after a car accident around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

She was traveling south on Lamar Road and veered right, hitting a concrete bridge railing.

She went into the creek and stopped, with her car nearly underwater.

Some people were in the water trying to get her out after the wreck.

Macon-Bibb deputies and firefighters eventually pulled her out of the car.

She went to Medical Center, Navicent Health where she died.

The sheriff’s office isn’t giving out her name until they let the family know she died.
