Woman dies in crash on I-75 south in Bibb County

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person died in a crash on Interstate 75 south on Saturday that shut down all lanes.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, the crash happened just after 2 p.m., just south of Exit 153, the Sardis Church Road Exit.

Deputies say a Kia Sorento collided with a Toyota Camry. The male driver of the Kia is listed in stable condition at the hospital. The female driver of the Toyota, 23-year-old Kaitlyn Mackenzie Hermans of Fort Valley, was pronounced dead on the scene.

All lanes reopened for travel about two hours after the crash.
