Woman dead in Jones County highway accident

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County Sheriff’s office is investigation a car accident that left one woman dead.

Deputies received the call Monday around 11:00 a.m.

Mary Cramer of Haddock was traveling on Highway 22 towards Gray.

Cramer attempted to make a U-turn to head back towards Haddock when she was struck by a Ford F-350, according Jones County Sheriff’s Deputy William Jernigan

Authorities believe Cramer died instantly.

The wreckage was cleared an hour and a half after the incident.
