Woman arrested for stealing elementary school’s PTO money

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested the former Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) President for Porter Elementary School on Tuesday, accusing her of stealing nearly $16,000 from the school’s PTO account.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Financial Crimes Unit arrested 58-year-old Donna Jean Rogers for theft by taking. Upon conducting a search warrant of her home, they also charged her with possession of marijuana and a schedule II controlled substance.

Rogers has been released on a $13,800 bond.
