Wings Cafe trial postponed, FBI presents new evidence

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The trial for several suspects charged in December’s Wings Cafe shooting in Macon has been postponed.

Macon Judicial Circuit DA David Cooke says the FBI released new evidence to the state. Jury selection was scheduled for Monday for Vertuice Wall, Emmanuel McGhee, and Derek Taylor.

Wall and McGhee are facing multiple murder and gun charges.

Cooke says because of the new evidence, Wall’s attorney withdrew a motion for a speedy trial. A new date has not been set.

Cooke expects a possible Spring 2016 date.

11 people were arrested in connection to the case. Three people were killed in the shooting at the Macon nightclub.
