Winds calm as temperatures climb into the weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – High pressure moving into the Peach State this weekend will slow and shift the winds allowing for more heat and humidity rolling forwards.
This Evening
A mostly sunny afternoon will become a clear night across the region with below average temperatures expected once again. Temperatures will valley in the mid to upper 40s around the region. The wind will finally be a bit lighter as it stays out of the northeast around 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow
Another mostly sunny day is likely to end the work week with high temperatures expected in the upper 70s and low 80s, or a degree or two above average for this time of year. The wind will be light from the northeast around 5 mph.
Overnight will have a few lingering clouds as the wind finally shifts away from the northeast becoming light and variable. Low temperatures should be more seasonal with most spots likely to valley in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
This Weekend and Beyond
With the shift in the wind direction the humidity will begin to climb higher through the weekend. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s both Saturday and Sunday afternoon across Middle Georgia with variable winds resolving out of the southeast by Saturday night. Still, even as the humidity begins to climb next week there’s no rain expected over the next 7 days.
