Wilkinson County band director on leave after fight with student

IRWINTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Band Director for Wilkinson County High School and Middle School, Dr. Norman White, has been placed on administrative leave, while local law enforcement investigate an incident involving Dr. White and a 7th grade student.

According to a news release by Wilkinson County Superintendent Dr. Aaron Geter Jr., the student and Dr. White were involved in a fight on Friday, May 13.

Dr. Geter says no one was seriously injured in the fight.
