Wildfires in Florida force evacuations as severe weather hits coast to coast
Communities across Florida are facing evacuations and travel disruptions as fast-moving wildfires spread across parts of the state.

(CNN)- Residents are being forced from their homes as crews work to contain the flames, with many relying on support from loved ones during the crisis The fires have also disrupted transportation, forcing highway closures and impacting rail travel. Several Amtrak routes have been canceled or rerouted due to dangerous conditions.
“I’m just really frustrated… I’m just waiting for something to happen,” said one passenger affected by the delays.
In the Everglades, a large grass fire has burned thousands of acres. Officials say ongoing drought conditions are fueling the flames, with little relief expected in the near future.
Meanwhile, on the West Coast, communities are dealing with the opposite problem—too much water. Heavy rain has flooded neighborhoods in Roseville, leaving some residents unable to leave their homes.
“You can see if I wanted to leave, I can’t,” one resident said.
Northern California is also experiencing late-season snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains, with crews working to keep roads clear.
“As much as it is a late winter, we are still fully staffed,” said a spokesperson for Caltrans.
In addition to the flooding and snow, a tornado was caught on camera near Fresno, adding to the extreme weather conditions across the region.
