Washington County Sheriff’s Office captures wanted suspect
Triston Michael Waters arrested in Sandersville on multiple charges, Kathryn Leann Walls also in custody

SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man wanted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a recent theft investigation is now in custody.
A Washington County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post said deputies, along with U.S. Marshals, Milledgeville Police and the Georgia Department of Corrections, took Triston Michael Waters into custody from a home on Edgar Lane on Monday.
Deputies say the 26-year-old was wanted on several outstanding warrants for his involvement in a burglary and theft at a hunting camp.
A search warrant led to the discovery of stolen property.
Waters’ charges include:
- 2 counts of theft by taking
- 2 counts of burglary
- Theft by receiving stolen property
- 3 counts of criminal trespass
- Possession of firearm during commission of a crime
- Possession of firearm by convicted felon
- Obstruction of law enforcement officers
- Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
- 2 counts of possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of marijuana
- 2 counts of possession of drug-related objects
- Probation violation
Deputies say 23-year-old Kathryn Leann Walls of Warthen was also arrested at the scene. She’s charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, false statements and hindering the apprehension of punishment of a criminal.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests may follow.
