Warner Robins woman shot, killed
UPDATE: Warner Robins detectives believe Helms and Reyes they knew each other prior to
the deadly shooting Tuesday night, and was brought to the home by a friend.
According to a police report, the three spent some time together at the residence on Maplewood Drive before the shooting occurred.
Investigators believe the motive for the shooting is Armed Robbery, and Helms was attempting to rob Reyes when the shooting happened.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman in Warner Robins was shot to death Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to a shots fired call around 7:30 on the 600 block of Maplewood Drive, and found a 29-year-old Natasha Reyes dead inside a home.
Jennifer Parson with the Warner Robins Police Department, says the victim was shot multiple times.
Parson adds, officers do not believe this was a random incident and they do have a suspect in custody. Police arrested 38-year-old Rodney Helms at a nearby gas station, not long after the incident.
Police are charging Helms with aggravated assault and murder.
