Warner Robins Mayoral Candidates Prepare for Runoff
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mayoral runoff candidates are preparing themselves for the road ahead on the campaign trail for the runoff elections.
Randy Toms and former Warner Robins Publics Works Director Joe Musselwhite are heading into runoff elections on December 3.
It was a tight race all the way the way to the finish, with Toms leading the polls for the majority of the night.
Absentee ballots coming in late put Musselwhite in the second spot heading into runoffs.
“It’s humbling to know just by being in the race I’ve had an impact on my community and that’s what I feel good about,” Toms said just before the final polls were counted,” Toms said.
Musselwhite told 41NBC at his watch party location in Warner Robins that he’s pushed for a hard campaign and he wants to put emphasis for one more thing heading into the next election.
“I probably could’ve done a better job of telling people about my experience and what I’ve actually done in the city and the budgeting and the inner workings of the city. I didn’t push for that real hard. I can’t look back I have no regrets. I’ve worked hard,” Musselwhite said.
