Warner Robins Homicide Under Investigation

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A woman’s body was found in a vacant home in Warner Robins, and police are treating the case as a homicide.

According to police spokesperson, Tabitha Pugh, police discovered the body last night around 9:48 inside 324 Curtis Street.

Around 4pm Friday afternoon, investigators were still on the scene going in and out of the home wearing face masks.

Joseph Whitton just moved into the neighborhood two weeks ago. He told 41NBC he saw the woman several times the first week he moved in, and she would have no reason to be in that home.

“It was very odd… I don’t think she’s the type of person that would have just went in there all by herself, you know, and just start doing whatever she was doing in there… she had somewhere to go,” said Whitton.

Whitton also added the neighborhood is rough. Since he moved in, he’s seen a lot of drugs and quote “people who need help.”

The woman’s body was sent to the GBI crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy. If you have any information, call Detective Shane Mann at 478-302-5381.
