Deputies say the campus was cleared as a precaution while the investigation continues.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Students and staff were evacuated from Warner Robins High School after a reported bomb threat, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
In a social media post late Monday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said the threat was reported to the Warner Robins Police Department. The sheriff’s office said its deputies and the Warner Robins Police Department responded and coordinated with school administrators.
Deputies say students, faculty and staff were evacuated out of an abundance of caution while deputies and officers worked to clear the campus.
In a message sent to parents, the Houston County School District said, “We want to make you aware that local law enforcement reported a bomb threat was received for Warner Robins High School. Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement is on campus and actively conducting a thorough search of the building. All students and staff are being safely evacuated, and we are following our established safety protocols. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement and will provide updates as more information becomes available. The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our number one priority. Thank you for your patience and support.”
The district later provided dismissal instructions, stating, “We are now preparing for student dismissal at Warner Robins High School and want to share important pickup information. Bus riders will be dismissed first. Walkers and students who drive will then be released to go home after that. Parents who pick up their children should arrive around 3:30 p.m. Parent pickup will take place in the stadium parking lot, with entry off MLK Drive. Law enforcement will be on site to assist and guide the pickup process to ensure it runs as safely and smoothly as possible. Thank you for your support as we work to safely dismiss our students.”
In a final update, the district said the campus had been cleared: “Parents, we want to update you that Warner Robins High School has been thoroughly swept by law enforcement, and the school building has been cleared. We want to thank our students and staff for following safety procedures so well today, and we appreciate our parents for their cooperation and patience during the revised dismissal process. We are also grateful to our law enforcement partners for their immediate response. Thank you all for your continued support of Warner Robins High School.”
