WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Fire Department hosted its annual golf tournament Friday afternoon to help benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Dozens of golfers hit the links for the fundraiser, in its 27th year, held at the International City Golf Course.

“We’re blessed,” said Chief Robert Singletary of the Warner Robins Fire Department. “The community comes together and they’re willing to play and contribute money… it’s just a good time.”

The tournament has been able to bring in, on average, around $100,000 each year. Since its inception, the event has helped raise nearly $2.7 million in total funds
