Warner Robins Bike Drive Provides Bikes For Kids

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Christmas came early for kids in Warner Robins today.

At Northside High School, more than 150 bikes were given out during at a bike drive event, which is in its second year.

The atmosphere was jolly, with music playing and kids riding their new wheels up and down the sidewalk.

Eric Hobes, who organized the event with his brother, started the bike giveaway to encourage kids to get out doors more.

“Just wanted the community to bring the community together,” said Hobes. “Like I said, we’re just from this area. We don’t see kids out riding bikes like we used to and we just thought it’d be a good idea to start something that we’re gonna start doing every year.”

“I wanna feel like kind of, experienced about bikes and learn how to ride one,” said Kamora Howard, who received a bike.

Various companies and people donated both new and used bikes to the cause.
