Warmer temperatures and stronger winds arrive Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The wind will pick up out of the south tomorrow, leading to more warmth and humidity around Middle Georgia.
This Evening
A few cirrus clouds are likely to move in this evening, clearing out sometime after midnight. Outside of that, things will be calm and mostly clear with winds coming from the south at around 5 mph. Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 30s ahead of Thursday morning.
Tomorrow
Expect mostly sunny conditions much of the afternoon as temperatures climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s around the region. Winds will increase from the south-southwest to about 10-15 mph, gusting upwards of 25 mph. Clouds will begin to roll in more during the evening, however no rain is expected while the sun is out. While a shower or two will be possible after sunset, rain should hold until after midnight.
It will be mostly cloudy tomorrow night with scattered rain showers likely to move in as the sunrise hours Friday approach. Temperatures will only fall into the mid to upper 50s ahead of Friday morning. Winds will remain breezy from the southwest as well.
Friday and Beyond
Friday will start of cloudy with scattered showers lingering until the early lunch hours. Cloud cover will begin to clear during lunchtime, leading to sunnier conditions for the late afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the upper 60s and lower 70s before dropping into the low to mid 40s ahead of Saturday.
Saturday will be partly cloudy and blustery with temperatures reaching into the mid to upper 60s as winds come from the northwest at 10-20 mph, gusting over 30 mph. A stray shower or two cannot be ruled out in the afternoon, however most of the region will stay dry. Sunday will be sunny and calm with highs expected to be in the lower 60s. It will be a warm start to next week with many afternoons expected to reach into the 70s.
