Warm and pleasant Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will remain above average under sunny skies Thursday afternoon.
This Evening
It’s been a sunny and warm Wednesday with many locations seeing highs about 3 degrees warmer than expected. Wind has been light from the southwest but will shift to out of the northwest through the evening. Expect lows in the low to mid 40s around the region rolling into Thursday’s sunrise.
Tomorrow
Sunny skies are likely again with temperatures should largely peak in the upper 70s. A few spots may eclipse 80 degrees. The wind will be variable and light as it shifts from the northwest all the way to the southeast throughout the day.
Overnight will be mostly clear with lows likely in the mid to upper 40s. Light wind from the southeast will help to increase humidity leading into Friday.
Friday and Beyond
Friday will be mostly sunny until the mid-late afternoon. Highs will largely reach into the lower 80s around the region. Wind will be a bit stronger from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph. Gusts may push as high as 17 mph through the afternoon. A stray storm could be possible in the evening and more odds will be possible overnight. Storms also look possible Saturday evening/into Sunday morning. This is courtesy of a cold front that will cause temperatures to plummet to start next week.
