Warm and humid weekend coming for Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s over the weekend with isolated storms remaining possible both afternoons.
This Evening
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are likely this evening and into tonight around Middle Georgia. Storms will bring plenty of rain and some lightning but could also have a bit of small hail or a few wind gusts. The number of severe storms in the area should be very limited, however.
Aside from the rain it will be a calm and muggy night with wind remaining light and variable through the night. Lows will largely be in the lower 60s and fog will be likely ahead of Saturday morning.
Tomorrow
Saturday should be somewhat similar to Friday in terms of heat and cloud cover with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. While rain chances will be possible, the best odds will be over the southern half of the region. Expect wind from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph throughout the afternoon tomorrow as a weak front passes through. It is this front that could spur on those rain chances for the southern counties later in the day.
Overnight will be calm and slightly cooler as a handful of locations should see lows that just get below the 60 degree mark. Wind will flow from the north-northwest at around 5 mph. Fog will be possible however unlikely due to the wind being from the north.
Sunday and Beyond
Sunday will be another partly cloudy afternoon with plenty of heat as highs push into the mid to upper 80s. A couple of isolated storms will be possible, however rain odds should be down behind the frontal passage. Expect the humidity to climb a bit ahead of the new week as the wind returns to the south overnight Sunday into Monday. Storm chances will climb again a bit starting Monday as well.
