Wake Forest PG to Return for Ga Tech Game

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- Injured Wake Forest point guard Tony Chennault is scheduled to return after breaking his foot.

The school said in a statement that the freshman will return Wednesday night at Georgia Tech.

Chennault’s return comes two days after he returned to practice. He started the season at point guard but broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in the opener Nov. 12 against Stetson and had surgery three days later.

Coach Jeff Bzdelik says Chennault isn’t in top shape and hasn’t gone through a full week of practice, but hopes to give the struggling Demon Deacons some “spot minutes.”

Last-place Wake Forest (7-11, 0-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) has lost three straight and seven of eight, and is the only team winless in ACC play.
