Veteran-owned Firehouse Subs opens in Perry

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A brand new Firehouse Subs restaurant had its grand opening today in Perry.

In keeping with the establishment’s firehouse tradition, a fire hose “uncoupling” ceremony was held instead of a traditional ribbon cutting.

This particular store is owned by U.S. Army veteran William Stilley, who knew that Perry would be the perfect place for his new eatery.

“I felt that Perry deserved an establishment like this that had great food, and great service and that rallies behind the community,” he said. “And we just felt like this was just a great location to embed ourselves in as the community grows.”

After the uncoupling, the fire hose was signed by everyone in attendance and will eventually take its place on the store’s wall for customers to check out.

Stilley’s Firehouse Subs restaurant is located on 1360 Sam Nunn Blvd., next to the Kroger, and is open seven days a week from 10:30 am to 10 pm.
