Verizon announcing Yahoo purchase today

Verizon will announce an agreement today to buy Yahoo for about $5 billion.

Reuters says the deal will be made public this morning.

The deal will end months of uncertainty about Yahoo’s future after the company announced plans to review strategic alternatives in February. Yahoo and Verizon both declined to comment.

The iPhone 7 is expected to be launched the week of September 12th. Macrumors reports the launch, which hasn’t been confirmed by Apple.

Meanwhile, the New York Post reports the phone will be nearly indestructible.

It is said to have Gorilla Glass, a more resilient and sturdier glass than has been on the previous iPhone.

Banks are building more buzz this summer by offering everything from $100 gift cards for NBA merchandise to $400 cash bonuses for opening new checking accounts.

But that so-called “easy money” could end up taking more cash out of your wallet than you’d expect.

The monthly service fees often eat up the cash quickly.

The average wedding guest expects to spend $703 per wedding this year, 5% more than last year.

That’s according to the American Express Spending & Saving tracker.

Millennial guests expect to pay even more, an average $893 per wedding.

Factor in that folks expect to attend three weddings on average this year and it gets really pricey.
