UPDATE: Warner Robins Police say 1 dead, another injured after Tuesday afternoon shooting
The Warner Robins Police Department has identified one of the victims in Tuesday's deadly shooting as 24-year-old Zephaniah Langston. Police believed earlier in the investigation that a 15-year-old was killed in the incident.

UPDATE (4/17/2024 2:20 p.m.): Investigators have determined that 18-year-old Javon Charles and 24-year-old Zephaniah Langston were the only people involved in the shooting.
According to Warner Robins Police Chief Wayne Fisher, charges against Charles are pending and include: malice murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during commission of a crime.

UPDATE (9:15 p.m.): The Warner Robins Police Department has identified one of the victims in Tuesday’s deadly shooting as 24-year-old Zephaniah Langston. Police believed earlier in the investigation that a 15-year-old was killed in the incident.
“The investigation is ongoing,” an updated news release stated. “It was recently verified who the decedent was and their correct age. Next of kin has been notified.”
Investigators also identified an 18-year-old involved as Javon Charles.

UPDATE (6:30 p.m.): Police say one of the teenagers shot Tuesday afternoon has died.
According to a news release sent by the Warner Robins Police Department, police review of security video showed the incident was between both victims with bystanders present in the business.
“Outside the business, both victims mutually engaged in gunfire with each other,” the release stated. “The incident is still under investigation.”
Police say the 15-year-old died from his injuries. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide and an aggravated assault.
ORIGINAL STORY (5:53 p.m.):
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins Police say two teenagers are in the hospital after being shot Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at 801 S. Davis Drive around 4:45 p.m., according to a Warner Robins Police Department news release.
Officers say they arrived on scene and found one of the victims, a 15-year-old, with gunshot wounds to his upper leg, side and chest. Officers later found a second victim, “believed to be around 18,” in the 100 block of Oak Grove Road, which is nearby.
Witnesses told police the offenders, two to three teenagers, were seen fleeing down Driftwood Terrace.
“Preliminary investigation indicated the victim and offenders had an altercation inside the business and upon exiting the business the shooting took place,” the release stated.
An online search shows 801 S. Davis Drive is the location of a convenience store.
The 15-year-old was taken to Houston Healthcare. The other victim was taken to Atrium Health Navicent.
