UPDATE:  The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Sidney Leshay Bryant of Macon was identified as the suspect in Wednesday morning’s robbery. She has been taken into custody.

Deputies say the vehicle she used has been recovered, and the child was located and is safe.

Bryant is charged with armed robbery, cruelty to children in the first degree and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a woman involved in a commercial robbery that occurred Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

The robbery happened around 9:08 a.m. May 28 at Robins Financial Credit Union, located at 4245 Log Cabin Drive.

According to the sheriff’s office, a woman accompanied by a small child entered the bank, passed a note to a teller demanding money, and claimed she was armed.

She received an undisclosed amount of money and left the business, authorities said. The woman then got into a white Nissan Maxima and fled south on Log Cabin Drive. No injuries were reported.

The woman was wearing all black, including a hoodie and face mask. The child was dressed in a Spider-Man outfit with a matching backpack.
