UPDATE (1/10) – Warner Robins Police say the investigation revealed Graves shot Pope in self-defense after Pope forced his way into Graves’ home.
“The incident was a continuation of an earlier incident at the home,” a Wednesday news release update said.
Graves is not being charged with any crimes, police said. Pope is still hospitalized.
“This investigation is still ongoing and may result in criminal charges,” the release added.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A shooting in Warner Robins Tuesday resulted in one man being hospitalized, and the Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD) is now investigating.
A WRPD news release says officers responded to a call at 234 Randy Circle around 8 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police learned a confrontation between 35-year-old Lamarcus Graves and 33-year-old Aundre Pope ended with Pope being shot. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. Police did not reveal his condition.
