UPDATE: Missing Macon man located in Covington

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb sheriff’s investigators say they were notified Thursday morning that Jessie Roman Bennett is safe and was found in Covington. 

Bennett, who deputies reported missing since Tuesday, was pulled over by the Covington Police Department for driving without his headlights on. 

He was found unharmed and is back with his family.

Bibb sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help to find a missing man who has a mental disorder.

According to the sheriff’s office, 26-year-old Jessie Roman Bennett was last seen leaving his home on Hawkinsville Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was suppose to be going to the Walmart on Harrison Road.

Authorities say Bennett suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and was reported to have trouble adjusting to he new medication.

Bennett has brown hair and blue eyes. He is around 6’1” and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He was last seen driving a dark gray Kia Spectra with Georgia license plate PFN5878.

Investigators say Bennett has been know to frequent the Walmart on Harrison Road and the Hobby Lobby in Warner Robins. They add he usually stays close to home and has not stayed away overnight.
