UPDATE: Man identified after fatal plane crash reported in Baldwin County

UPDATE (8/25/2025) A man has been identified after a fatal plane crash on Saturday, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was identified as Robert Dluhos. According to a news release, the plane departed from Hilton Head, South Carolina, and was headed to Milledgeville.

Sheriff Bill Massee said Dluhos was a passenger on the plane and had his dog with him.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Baldwin County Fire Rescue says emergency crews are on scene of a fatal plane crash by 918 Nelson Road.

According to a Facebook post from the department, Baldwin County Fire Rescue, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Baldwin County EMA and Atrium EMS responded around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The post said the scene has been secured as they wait for investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. A unified command system has been established with all agencies working together.

No further details have been released, including the type of plane and how many people were on board.
