UPDATE: Warner Robins Police say 30-year-old Joseph Schaarschmidt is in custody and charged with murder in connection with his brother’s death.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD) is investigating a deadly Sunday shooting.
A WRPD news release says officers responded to 200 Olympia Drive Apartment C-8 just before 7 p.m. in reference to a person shot call.
Skylar Pointe Apartments are located at that address.
Upon arrival, officers say they found 30-year-old Augustus Schaarschmidt with a gunshot wound. Schaarschmidt was pronounced dead on the scene.
“Preliminary information indicates that Joseph Schaarschmidt as having involvement which is currently undetermined as to extent,” the release said.
