UPDATE: Macon teen arrested in connection to shooting, arson, and armed standoff
Authorities say Floyd was wanted for his alleged involvement in an aggravated assault incident that happened on July 16.

UPDATE (7/25/2025): An 18-year-old Macon man is behind bars after being arrested on Friday in connection to an armed barricade situation earlier this month.
U.S. Marshals with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Nicholas Ishmael Floyd around 9:30 a.m. on July 25 at a home in the 4000 block of Summer Hill Drive. Authorities say Floyd was wanted for his alleged involvement in an aggravated assault incident that happened on July 16.
Floyd was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where he now faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and False Imprisonment.
As of Friday afternoon, Floyd is being held without bond. The case remains under investigation.
UPDATE: (7/17) – As the search continues for 18-year-old Nicholas Ishmael Floyd, the woman who 18-year-old Nicholas Ishmael Floyd is accused of shooting Tuesday night is his mother. That’s according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office also says the 12-year-old boy he allegedly kidnapped is his brother.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Deputies are searching for a man they say shot a woman, set a house on fire, and barricaded himself in a Macon home with a child late Tuesday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 9:07 p.m. on July 15 to a home in the 4000 block of Summer Hill Drive in reference to a person shot. They later made contact with a 52-year-old woman on Log Cabin Drive near Presidential Parkway. She had a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
Investigators say 18-year-old Nicholas Ishmael Floyd is accused of shooting the woman inside a home in the 1700 block of Madden Avenue before setting the residence on fire. Authorities said Floyd then took a 12-year-old boy to another home on Summer Hill Drive, where he barricaded himself inside with weapons.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, hostage negotiators and patrol deputies responded to the home. SWAT officers entered the house and safely recovered the child, who was returned to his family unharmed. Floyd fled the scene before deputies could arrest him.
Floyd is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.
