UPDATE: Macon Police Investigating Two Overnight Fatalities

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones is asking for the public’s help in two separate traffic accidents from late Sunday night and early Monday morning.

The first accident happened on Bethel Church Road near Plantation Drive. 35 year-old Courtney Ross was driving around 11:30p.m. when he lost control of his 2002 Toyota Camry and crashed. Jones says Ross was partially ejected and died at the Medical Center around 12:30a.m.

The second accident happened around 1:00a.m. Macon police say a woman was walking along the westbound lane of Eisenhower Parkway near Key Street when she was hit by a street sweeper. Jones identified the victim as 22-year-old Kenyotta Jones.

The street sweeper is not being charged at this time. He voluntarily gave a blood sample for testing.
