UPDATE: Macon man wanted in connection with November shooting death in custody

Bibb County deputies say a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of Kealan Tre Hardeman in November is in custody.

UPDATE (1/30/24): Bibb County deputies say a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of Kealan Tre Hardeman in November is in custody.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, posted on Facebook, says 22-year-old Quintavious Vincent Johnson of Macon was booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center just after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

He was taken into custody from the Bleckley County Jail, deputies said. He’s charged with murder and also faces six counts of pointing a firearm at another.

He’s being held without bond.


ORIGINAL STORY (11/18/23):

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a shooting Saturday.

It happened just before 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of Brentwood Avenue, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies say they responded to a ShotSpotter alert and distress call reporting shots fired. When they arrived on scene, they discovered 22-year-old Kealan Tre Hardeman suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics responded and took him to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment. He was pronounced dead there at 7:02 p.m.

No one else was reported injured.
