UPDATE: Bibb County Sheriff’s Office confirms shooting at north Macon Kroger
Deputies say the victim was initially uncooperative but was later confirmed to have been shot. He’s now listed in stable condition.

UPDATE (10/9/25): The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says a 32-year-old man was shot Wednesday night in the Kroger parking lot on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard.
Deputies say the man was initially uncooperative at the scene, but doctors later confirmed he had been struck by gunfire. He’s now listed in stable condition.
Investigators say a witness reported he was walking behind a group of people in the parking lot when one of the people from the group turned around and fired shots at him.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident Wednesday night at the Kroger on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard in north Macon.
41NBC reached out to the sheriff’s office after seeing a heavy law enforcement presence, crime scene tape and a fire truck in front of the store around 10 p.m.
In an email response to 41NBC, Capt. Linda Howard said investigators are still trying to determine what happened.
“The victim is being uncooperative at this time,” she wrote. “We are still trying to determine if the male was shot or not. Once he becomes cooperative and give us information we will be able to update you.”
Deputies have not released any additional details.
