UPDATE (2/13): The Forsyth Road Kroger reopened Tuesday morning.

Kroger’s corporate office sent the following statement:

The Forsyth Road Kroger has reopened for business. Damage to the store from the heavy flooding has been repaired. Again, we would like to thank our customers for their support, patience and understanding.


ORIGINAL STORY (2/12):

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Kroger store at 4650 in Forsyth Road is closed while crews work to inspect and repair damage from flooding caused by heavy rains.

We reached out to Kroger’s corporate office and got this statement:

“The Kroger store located at 4650 Forsyth Road in Macon has been temporarily closed due to flood damage from the heavy rains. Our team is onsite to inspect and repair the damage so the store can reopen as soon as possible. We do not have a specific date for reopening at this time. We greatly appreciate the support and patience of our customers.”

Kroger says its other Macon locations remain open to serve customers. Those are:

  • 4321 Hartley Bridge Rd
  • 660 North Ave
  • 220 Tom Hill Sr Blvd
  • 5928 Zebulon Rd
