UPDATE: Third vehicle involved in deadly Log Cabin Drive crash

Deputies say the crash involved a Ford Edge, a Mercedes-Benz and a Serena Wholesale truck.

UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says a third vehicle was involved in the deadly crash Thursday night at Log Cabin Drive and Eisenhower Parkway.

Deputies now say the crash involved a Ford Edge, a Mercedes-Benz and a Freightliner M2. The driver of the Ford Edge was identified as 38-year-old Victor Anthony Calhoun, who died at the scene. His next of kin has been notified.

The sheriff’s office says the other two drivers, a 17-year-old female driving the Mercedes-Benz and a 66-year-old man driving the Freightliner M2, were treated by paramedics at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Witnesses reported Calhoun hit the back of the Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Log Cabin Drive. The Edge then drifted onto Eisenhower Parkway and was hit by the Freightliner M2.

Fatality investigators and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division are still working to determine what led to the crash.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 38-year-old man died Thursday night after a crash involving an SUV and a wholesale truck on Log Cabin Drive.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, it happened at Log Cabin Drive and Eisenhower Parkway just before 11 p.m.

Deputies say the crash involved a Ford Edge and a Serena Wholesale truck.

When deputies got there, they found 38-year-old Victor Anthony Calhoun unresponsive at the scene. Paramedics responded and tried to render aid, but the Calhoun died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office says next of kin has been notified.
