UPDATE: Deputies say missing 27-year-old man found safe

UPDATE (9/2/26): Bibb County deputies said in an update Wednesday that 27-year-old Kevin Dwayne Stone has been located and is safe.


ORIGINAL STORY (9/1/26):

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a 27-year-old man they say was last seen August 23 in Americus.

Deputies identified the missing man as Kevin Dwayne Stone.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Stone’s vehicle was spotted at Riverside Drive and Pierce Avenue in Macon at 11:06 p.m. August 29. The release did not say whether Stone was inside the car at the time.

The vehicle is a blue two-door 2008 Honda Accord with a black front bumper and Georgia license plate SJS 8373.

Stone is 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds. His family told investigators he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
