UPDATE: Florence Avenue shooting victim dies

Deputies say the shooting was reported at 6:57 p.m. in the 1500 block of Florence Avenue.

UPDATE: Deputies say a man shot on Florence Avenue Saturday night has died.

In an updated news release, deputies identified the man as Shaviz Adams.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 35-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday night on Florence Avenue, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting was reported to Macon-Bibb E-911 at 6:57 p.m. in the 1500 block of Florence Avenue.

Deputies found the man with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.
