MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident on Interstate 475 North, under the Zebulon Road overpass. The incident, which happened just after noon on Friday, resulted in one person’s death.
As of 3 p.m., traffic was backed-up on I-475 North and was slow moving on Zebulon Road on the overpass.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from Bibb County and the Macon-Bibb Fire Department responded and found a Kenworth construction vehicle’s extended equipment had hit the overpass and overturned.

Three other vehicles traveling on Zebulon Road were damaged by debris. No one else was injured.
