UPDATE: Deputies arrest Macon bank robbery suspect

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Kevin Foster has been charged with robbery for stealing from State Bank and Trust Thursday.

A Crimestoppers tip helped authorities identify Trevin Foster. Bibb County sheriff’s deputies and members of the South Eastern Fugitive Task Force found Foster and others at the Quality Inn on Chambers Road.

Deputies took Foster and the other people to the sheriff’s office for questioning.

Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies say the State Bank on Pio Nono Avenue was robbed around 9:30 a.m.

According to Lt. Sean Defoe, the robber entered the front door of the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. After receiving some cash, he then ran back out the front door.

He was last seen heading toward Rice Mill Road.

The suspect did not show he had a weapon and no one was injured.
