UPDATE: Central High Student Hit by Vehicle Near School

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Central High School student was hit by a vehicle Friday morning as she arrived to school, according to Bibb school officials.

Bibb County School District spokeswoman Stephanie Hartley tells 41NBC the 16-year old student was struck by a vehicle around 7:25 a.m. on Napier Avenue.

Macon Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet tells 41NBC the student was grazed by the car on her ankle. She was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

MPD cited the driver for driving too fast for conditions.
