UPDATE: Bibb deputies investigating homicide in east Macon

Lt. Randy Gonzalez says 63 year-old Thomas Knighton was found inside his Elder Street home Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s office got a call around 4:15 from neighbors who said they hadn’t seen Knighton in a few days.

The cause of death is unknown, but deputies say Knighton’s throat was cut. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
