GLENWOOD, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A domestic dispute between two brothers on Saturday ended in a shooting in Glenwood.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is now investigating, according to a GBI news release.
The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, and the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s involvement at 6:30 p.m.
According to preliminary investigations, the GBI says the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to Clarks Bluff Road in Glenwood in reference to a domestic dispute that ended in a shooting.
“The investigation has revealed that a domestic dispute occurred between two brothers, one from Florida and the other one from Georgia,” the release stated. “During the dispute, one brother was shot, and the other brother was injured. They both required medical treatment.”
No arrests have been made yet, and the names of the brothers have not been released.
