UPDATE: Arrest made in connection with August gas station shooting in Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the Chevron at 1106 Rocky Creek Road just after midnight after reports of shots fired.

UPDATE (9/22/25): Bibb County deputies say a man is in custody in connection with a shooting last month that left three people injured.

According to a news release, deputies took 21-year-old Khaleel Maurice Taylor of Macon into custody at a convenience store in the 2400 block of Rocky Creek Road on Sunday.

He’s now being held in the Bibb County Jail. He’s charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County deputies are investigating a shooting that injured three people early Friday morning at a Chevron gas station on Rocky Creek Road.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the Chevron at 1106 Rocky Creek Road just after midnight after reports of shots fired.

When deputies arrived, they found a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Paramedics took both to a hospital for treatment. A third victim, a 22-year-old man, was also shot and was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

Medical staff told investigators the victims’ injuries are not life-threatening.
