UPDATE: Two more arrested in fatal CC Food Mart shooting in Milledgeville

UPDATE (9/30/26): Two more people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting at CC Food Mart, according to a news release from the Milledgeville Police Department.

Police say 21-year-old Omarion King and 20-year-old Tyrecus Harrison were arrested Wednesday.

King is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, party to the crime of felony murder and party to the crime of malice murder.

Harrison is charged as a party to the crimes of aggravated assault, felony murder and malice murder.

19-year-old Quantez Bolston died Tuesday after Monday night’s shooting. Police previously charged Daquavious Omarion Napier with malice murder.

UPDATE (9/29/26): Milledgeville police have identified the 19-year-old man who died after being shot outside a convenience store Monday night.

According to an update from the Milledgeville Police Department, Quantez Bolston died Tuesday from his injuries.

Police say Daquavious Omarion Napier has now been charged with malice murder following Bolston’s death.

Investigators believe the shooting is connected to a gang-motivated incident in 2023 that led to ongoing disputes among those involved.

The investigation remains active, and police say additional arrests are expected.

UPDATE (9/29/26): The victim in a Milledgeville convenience store shooting has died from his injuries, according to the Milledgeville Police Department.

Police announced the victim’s death Tuesday afternoon. Lt. Phillip Vinson has secured an additional arrest warrant for Daquavious Omarion Napier for malice murder.

The victim’s identity hasn’t been released. The investigation remains active and ongoing.


ORIGINAL STORY (9/29/26):

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man is in critical condition and a suspect is facing multiple charges following a shooting at a Milledgeville convenience store Monday night.

According to a news release from the Milledgeville Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired at CC Food Mart, located at 1212 North Jefferson Street, around 11 p.m. Police say officers arrived  and found a male victim lying in the parking lot next to a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Officers provided aid until the Milledgeville Fire Department and EMS arrived. The victim was taken to a Macon hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives identified Daquavious Omarion Napier as the alleged shooter during their investigation. Police say Napier was located and taken into custody without incident around 5 a.m. Tuesday. Napier is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, five counts of aggravated assault, participation in street gang activity, terroristic threats and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Police say the investigation remains active and additional people are expected to be arrested in connection with the shooting. Additional charges could also be filed.
