Two men are now charged in connection with the death of 47-year-old Ishmael Hassan Saleem in 2023.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says investigators served arrest warrants last month for 37-year-old Shaun Mills and 40-year-old Terrell Ugean Mills.

Both men have yet to be extradited to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Shaun Mills is currently in custody in Anniston, Alabama. Terrell Mills is currently in custody in Jones County.

“Both men were taken into custody by each agency for warrants served for murder in the January 19, 2023 murder of 52-year-old Pinal Kumar Patel on Thoroughbred Lane,” the release stated.

UPDATE (1/19/23): The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 47-year-old Ishmael Hassan Saleem.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after being found shot in the chest on Lincoln Street. According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened in the 2300 block of Lincoln Street just before 2 a.m.

Deputies responded and found a 47-year-old male in a Saturn Aura shot in the chest and unresponsive. He was transported to Atrium Health Navicent where he was pronounced deceased by staff. No one else was injured.
