U.S. Congressman Austin Scott visits Macon third graders

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Congressman Austin Scott visited third graders at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Macon on Thursday.

Last week, the classes wrote letters to different lawmakers as part of the school’s History Day. The letters meant so much to Scott and he decided to visit the children as he passed through Macon.

He talked to them about his job and answered any questions they had about the government.

“It’s just great to be with kids this age and encourage them to take advantage of the opportunities that America gives them,” said Congressman Scott.

The main message Scott wanted children to take home is that their potential is limitless.
