Two teens killed in single-vehicle crash on Zebulon Road

The crash was reported to Macon-Bibb 911 at 2:18 a.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 18-year-old who died in a crash early Friday morning as Alexander Strebeck. Deputies identified the 17-year-old who died as Landon Lawless.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash that killed two teenagers early Friday morning on Zebulon Road near Coleparchee Road.

The crash was reported to Macon-Bibb 911 at 2:18 a.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies arrived to find a Dodge pickup truck that had struck a tree. The 18-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger were both injured in the crash and later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.

The names of the victims will be released once their families have been notified.
