Two suspects arrested in Milledgeville armed robbery
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men have been arrested in connection with a convenience store robbery Thursday night.
Davauta Lango and Roddeques Pearson, both 18, were taken into custody by authorities after an investigation.
A call was received at around 10:40 p.m. to the Jet Food Store located on East Hancock Street, according to a news release from the Milledgeville Police Department.
The victim, a clerk at the store, said he was taking out the trash when he was robbed by the two suspects. The victim claimed that he knew the two men.
He said the suspects entered the store and began harassing him, before brandishing a firearm as he was heading to the dumpster outside. The suspects demanded his money.
After taking what they could, they fled on foot.
The two suspects were later apprehended at Lango’s residence on South Jefferson Street.
Lango has been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and armed robbery. Pearson is still in custody for further questioning.
More charges are pending as the investigation continues.
