Two Macon men facing drug charges after bust

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A drug bust at home on East Buford Highway led to the arrest of two Macon men.

Bibb sheriff’s deputies took 35-year-old Javares Simmons and 24-year-old Kerry Dewayne Walker Jr. into custody around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators seized approximately 466 grams of powder cocaine. The cocaine has an estimated street value of $466,000. Investigators also seized drug paraphernalia, including bags and scales. They also found marijuana, prescription pills, money, and a gun.

Simmons is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felon. Walker is charged with trafficking cocaine.

Both suspects are booked in the Bibb County jail without bond.
