Twiggs County High School teacher under investigation for sexual allegations

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Twiggs County high school teacher is accused of making sexual comments to students.

The campus police chief says three female students told the principal a teacher made sexual references to them. According to an incident report, the principal told the chief about the allegations on March 23rd.

The report also says the teacher is on administrative leave until the investigation is complete. The chief adds if the allegations are true, the teacher could face felony charges.

The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to help investigate the case.

The high school referred all questions to the Twiggs County Board of Education. The superintendent was unavailable for comment.

Twigg’s sheriff’s deputies say the teacher is Fredrick Baker. The Twiggs County High School’s website says Baker is the credit recovery specialist. He is also a football and basketball coach.

41NBC reached out to Baker for comment, but we have not heard back yet.
