Tubman Museum hosts ‘Sip N Play’ Game Night for First Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – All work and no play makes for a pretty dull day. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case on Friday night at the Tubman Museum.

They kicked off ‘First Friday’ with an event they call ‘Sip and Play’. They have wine, punch and cookies to go along with board games old and new.

Marketing Director Melanie Byas says the staff love to play board games, so they thought it would be a great edition to the First Friday line up.

“We decided last month actually to make this our First Friday event, and it was such a success we decided to do it again. So, we’re playing board games, card games we’ve brought most of the games but we’re asking people to bring their own games if there’s something they like doing.”

Byas says they’ll do it again next month. It’s $5.00 for entry and free to Tubman Museum Members. Again, they encourage anyone who wants to come out to bring their own board games also.
